Lately I've been riding my bike around a lot more. That's not to say I've been rocking spandex and climbing the hills, but rather riding my bike instead of driving my truck around town. I gotta say, not only is it great to spend/pollute less, it feels good to have the wind in your face, and your own engine moving you around. I may still opt to drive when I'm cold and groggy at 7AM, but later in the day I always bust out my Ridley and cruise, it's become a great new tradition. In the process, a couple other friends have started riding their bikes with me, and we've been having fun doing so. I know it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of energy conservation and trying to end our reliance on fossil fuels, but everybody has to do their part, and we can all start somewhere. Don't worry about the guy sitting in his SUV with the engine running as he blasts the AC talking on his cellphone, he'll be outnumbered and extinct before you know it.
