Universities and Sustainability, Ethics

I've been somehow involved with the University of Virgina since 2000, and I can say that lots of talking about proposed changes on Grounds with regards to sustainability and greening, and the rest. I'm current an MBA candidate at UVA's Darden Graduate School of Business. My big question is, what changes will make the most impact, and what changes are just fluff. What I did today to reduce fossil fuel usage

Every day I try to do little things to help the cause. They add up!

Today I drove my scooter into to school. Instead of using a disposable paper cup for my coffee, I used my travel mug. I needed to print out papers for school and printed 2 pages per side per sheet.

Little things count.

Instead of using Google, I used Blackle. (www.blackle.com) It's Google with a black background. They say that if everyone used Blackle, we'd save lots of energy by not using as much elec… Continue
