Tell us about yourself, and why you support the renewable energy movement.
Why not support it? In order to sustain human life on this planet, we need to stop relying so heavily on non-renewable resources (I feel like this is understood). I plan on giving birth to a new, extremely attractive line of Angelinas and Brads, which will hopefully continue for generations, as long as the cockroaches haven't taken over. No one wants that.
How do you contribute?
Support political action, Support environmentally-conscious companies, Try to reduce-reuse-recycle, Support local sustainable agriculture
Do you have tips on how to conserve and be more energy-efficient?
I think we need to get everyone on board, but how? It's all about the psychology of attitudes. Suppose you own a hotel with 150 rooms and you would like to know how to persuade people to reuse their towels (which would save 72,000 gallons of water, 39 barrels of oil, and eliminate 480 gallons of detergent into the environment in the course of a year if guests complied). Studies have shown that people tend to follow the crowd. So, printed on the cards placed in guestrooms, you have the following options: "HELP SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT", "HELP SAVE RESOURCES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS", "PARTNER WITH US TO HELP SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT", and "JOIN YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS IN HELPING TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT." The guests who stay in rooms with cards that read "JOIN YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS IN HELPING TO SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT", relative to the others, increase their towel reuse by 34%. This is generalizable to many different marketing strategies.

How to blog? It's super easy: just click the 'Blog' link on the upper left part of your personal page (ie this page). You can then select 'New Blog Entry' or something like that and just type away. Add some links or pictures using the 'chainlink' or 'pic' graphic in the little format tray right above where you type. Then, go ahead and 'Post' the blog, and 'Feature' it on the main page while you're at it! That way everyone will see it.

Hey, thanks for joining up after the technical difficulties today. I dig the hotel towel reuse idea - you ought to write a blog about it and post it to the site!

And thanks for the professional photography at the Green Apple Festival!
